Nerds Helping Nerds in Times of Need

Regarding our Founder

It is with heavy hearts that we inform everyone that Operation Hammond’s founder, James Fedora, passed away at the age of 37 in his home on March 27, 2019. Fedora was loved by many and will be remembered for his unwavering kindness. He was a strong supporter of many social movements and his spirit of service is reflected in his time in the Air Force. Fedora helped hundreds of people during his time as a medical care provider, he inspired dozens of volunteers to rally behind Operation Hammond’s mission of “Nerds helping nerds in times of need,” and he created a source of tremendous pride for Operation Hammond’s members, who all serve the group with Fedora’s brand of compassion and bravery. Fedora will be deeply missed, and to celebrate his legacy, Operation Hammond will continue to serve events and conventions in his honor.

If you find that you need support in these difficult times, please reach out to our senior members. We will share new information as it becomes available.
